Duane and his brother Belial are still alive and find refuge in a freaks mansion leaded by the morbid lovely “Granny Ruth” but because of some curious reporters and the love story between Duane and Susan and Belial and Eve everything will get complicated …
The first “Baske case” sequel directed by the same Henenlotter and always starring Kevin Van Hentenryck as Duane turns less b-horror extreme than the previous feature and gets more comedy even if the gore remains (check the brothers body-reunited and the Susan delivery) ; at end is not clear if is more like a Tod Browning’s Freaks spin off or a John Landis’s Animal House creepy version ( also David Lynch’s Eraserhead and Ridley Scott’s Alien are quoted) but is all quite acceptable and fun till the end. One detail : It was filmed in Plainfield, New Jersey in a house related after the legend to the serial killer Ed Gein.
