Channel 13 (English review)

Channel 13 by Mark Poland (Usa,2015)
Duration: 74′ – Genre: Horror

Back home a nerd starts watching “Channel 13” is a program titled “Stories of Horror and Decadence” that features three stories: the first concerning a killer scarecrow, the second a monstrous bird, and the third cannibals who own a farm…

The lost film by the Poland brothers, founders of the indie horror film production company of the same name, is an homage to the various creepshows and Amicus films but also a remembrance by Mark of his brother John who passed away in 2008 at only 39 years of age (and who appears as the film’s sole protagonist). Amateur cinema (despite a desperate attempt to even refer to the early Peter Jackson), pressapochistic but moving in its love of the genre. It risks going down in history as one of the most unobtainable DVBRs ever
