More than interesting debut by a director who makes a film worthy of early John Carpenter as dark and menacing as any seen in decades and confirms what we have been saying for temp namely the end of two decades of horror based on remakes and basic pedantic quotations and the beginning of a renewal of the genre. It’s about time. Filmed at Camp Drake in Illinois. Good cast .
